The 29th

The 29th of Feb which happens every four years. How rare it is???
I wanted to have this post dated as a memory ^_^.

My everyday life has been a routine:
Monday - school
Tuesday - school
Wednesday - school
Thursday - school
Friday - school and bible study
Saturday - offday (depend where I want to go.)
Sunday - church

Sounds boring?? sure it does, but I am just glad that I have stuffs to do and to keep myself busy. Sometimes, I wonder to myself, maybe I was born a workaholic. I am the type of person that am happy when I have stuffs to do and depress when there is none.

These days I have been making decisions and listen to opinions. Afterall, life is about making lots of important and unimportant decision isn't it??
I still want to bing my education to the next level, therefore, making the right decision is essential.

I am just very grateful to have frens surround me who love who I am. I have only one life and I will live to the fullest.

Creepy Kamx, I will be back real soon, don't forget me oki. Love you gals alot. muakie

My favourite month of the year.

This is my first chinese new year away from home. I really missed my families and frens back home. Looking on the bright side, is a brand new experience. I organized a steamboat reunion dinner at Jehan's house for the eight of us.

The Eight

we have steam boat and bought a LOT of food from both oriental and IGA.. fish and meat balls, fish tofu, different kinds of meat, vegetables, prawns, etc and stuffed ourselves with these food and had a good reunion dinner anyway.

Food Food

A table full of food. There are more in the kitchen. Guess i bought too much.

The soup

My housemate made the soup first thing in the morning, with potatoes, carrots, onions and chicken stalk cubes and boiled for 9 hours. therefore it tasted supper yummy.

dessert of the day

we believed that we should have chinese stuffs so we bought rice ball "tang yuan".
guess wat the guys did??? they have it with ice-creams... awww..... I couldn't imgaine the taste. so please spare an auntie like me, i will just have plain rice balls instead.

After dinner, we were so full that we began to take pictures of ourselves with funny gestures.

Sweet Roses for A Sweet Person Like You

Sweet Roses for A Sweet Person Like You

I have started a new habit in the beginning of 2008 which is having flowers in my room ^_^. They really do brighten up my mood all day by alot. This week's flowers happen to be roses. They are just simply gorgeous.

First day

When i first bought it from the supermarket, the petals looked quite mini. There are about 13 of them per bunch. they came in different colors, yellow, blue, red etc. I picked the pink one as the color is really soothing plus i love the color pink.

Third Day

The third day, they looked bigger. aren't they pretty? muakie love love

Fifth day

They grew even bigger. well i have a feeling that they don't really last very long. but a week is pretty good enough ^_^. Hang on there roses.

I guess i will keep on buying roses, as they suit my vase better. Having flowers in my room, really do make a difference.

Sweet Quotes ^_^

The red rose whispers of passion,
And the white rose breathes of love;
O, the red rose is a falcon,
And the white rose is a dove.
But I send you a cream-white rosebud
With a flush on its petal tips;
For the love that is purest and sweetest
Has a kiss of desire on the lips - John Boyle O'Reilly, A White Rose

Kleenex Tissues
I love kleenex tissues, they are really good. This week I managed to buy them in disney boxes.

Tada, the princesses and the winnie the pooh series.

I am a complete disney characters freak. My favourite character of all time is "MICKEY MOUSE".
Waited quite awhile to buy these, cos they cost more than the normal ones. but is on sale this week so i grabbed two boxes. I do know it sounds really auntie but living expenses are quite high here so must really save on daily neccessities.

Is quite a random post that features two stuffs in my room ^_^.

a day at natsu matsuri

Natsu Matsuri in Sydney?? Yes we have it here ^_^ how cool is that. since Australia is made up of different nationalities, we have all sorts of festivals. Is been a long time ever since i attended one. well no offence, but i still prefer the one in singapore.

Natsu Matsuri = Japanese Summer Festival
A festival often held at the temple. they have stalls for games and my favourite "food". people wearing yukata (a casual form of kimono) will be a common sight.

first, we rushed to the food stall to get Takoyaki and okonomiyaki (they call it hiroshima yaki. apparently, hiroshima is famous for okonomiyaki. wah wish i could try one in hiroshima, one of my favourite japanese food ^_^).

Food Stall

eekk.. i didn't manage to take any pictures of the food, as we were so hungry (came without any breakfast), we just stuffed everything down. but believe me is really delicious. well i guess waiting for about an hour for these were afterall worthwhile.

Our contented face ^_^

start of the bon odori.
bon odori is a traditional old folk dance. Xuexue and Shuyun will be very familiar with it. we would always participate in this dance during the summer festival in singapore and of course with yukata on.

hote hote mata hote sore
gatsuite gatsuite yakumodori sore
osute osute kiraite
jion jion ga jion

Me and Shuyun always recite this phrases when we were doing the dance.

Next is my favourite "Soran dance"
Soran dance from hokkaido

and more soran dance ^_^, this is by the sydney group. more youngsters

I always wanted to learn this soran dance, the moves are really cool. but is far too expensive since i am a non-japanese.

enough of the dance, let's move on to the yukata beauty contest

The group on the left is the male contestants, on the right is the female and the front role are the kids. There are lots of bishiojio and bishionen. the gals really did spend time dressing up. they have pretty clips on their hairs as well. the kids are so kawaii.

Noddle fighting contest

The standing ones are the winner. My fren and I still couldn't believe that the gal actually could eat that fast. she is really elegant not rushing at all.
They got a packet of soba each for participating. Wah is good, I also want some soba. Yum Yum

Finally Me with Candy floss to end this post, one pink and one blue. they taste super sweet and very fluffy.

We stayed back till 7pm for these events. is really fantastic and it definitely brings back good memories.
Thanks for my frens who went with me and actually stayed with me till the last performance.
Arigato gozaimashita.

Mum, The Greatest

Is surprising why is the post "mum", one may ask. Well is not mother's day and is definitely not something ironic. It is just.. I came over a sign in my lab that reads, "Please Clean Up Your Mess, Your Mum Doesn't Work Here."

Is it funny? for a couple of seconds i will say YES. It was then I started to wonder, does my mum always cleans up my mess? Sad to say YES. From changing diapers to cooking my meals and cleaning my laundries, being called by teachers to see him/her (for Parent's Day of course). Seriously, I didn't even realise it when i was in Singapore, is just when i am now abroad without my mum to wash my dirty clothes and to cook my 3 meals, I came to notice how I have been taken her for granted.

I am not that kind of out-spoken person, in the sense that i don't say "I Love You". I don't think I have ever said that to my mum, which is pretty sad. I am that sort of person that believe in the term "Actions Speak Louder Than Words".
I always believe that my mum is the greatest. That applies to my dad too, but today's post is on "Mum" so more focus will be on her. ^_^

I just want to say A Big THANK YOU to her. For giving life to me and being so supportive in many ways and not forgetting to tolerate my unreasonable behaviour and temper. Not kidding... I guess I have the worst temper on earth, and my mum is really good at putting up with that.
I Really Do Love You Alot Mum.

"Just thinking of you, so I wanted to say that you make me smile every day. "
